About
David Crawford, MD, is one of the few surgeons in Central
Ohio offering arthroscopic hip preservation surgery, a procedure that is most
commonly performed to correct an abnormal hip shape and to heal labral tears.
He is one of Ohio’s leading figures in orthopedic surgery, specializing in
adult hip and knee replacement. His practice is one of the few that performs
partial knee replacement, which is less invasive and has a faster recovery
period than total knee replacement. He is also an expert at total knee
arthroplasty, having authored several publications on the procedure. He
specializes in military medicine as well and has served in Afghanistan,
providing orthopedic care to US troops and allies in 2013.
Dr. Crawford is associated with Joint Implant Surgeons,
White Fence Surgical Suites, Southeast Ohio Surgical Suites, American Academy
of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.
He is a Fellow of the Hip Society Rothman-Ranawat Traveling Fellowship, as well
as of the John N. Insall Travelling Fellowship.
He is also well-known for his contributions in orthopedic
research as the author of multiple book chapters and research articles
published in peer-reviewed journals. He has also given numerous presentations
on the subject at national conventions.
